Wondering if M or M.Ds came with fenders. Seems most do not have any. Where they an option? I have a 1948 and feel fenders are necessary at times. Mine has none but I'd definately like to get a pair. Anyone know where a pair would be available? Thanks

Fenders were an option for the M. You payed extra for a new one with fenders. I also live in midwest, and see very few M's (or H's for that matter) with fenders. The fenders for the M fits more tractors than the M. I know the same fender fits the H, and possibly for the 300's and 400's. Anyways, they fit several tractors. Everybody thinks they need a set to make there tractor complete and more original. Actually if you want to be more like they came from factory, without fenders was much, much more common. As mentioned before, the fenders reduced space for the operator, but extensions will help. I've seen sets of fenders sell at auctions. Seems like they always bring 3 or $400 for a good set. Seems kind of high to me when you can buy a tractor without them for not to much more money.

Fenders seem to be seen more on tractors in Midwest. I was raised on Hs and Ms in the South when they were new. Do not recall ever seeing one with fenders back then.

I was raised, and still live in the midwest, never saw a set of fenders on an M or H until I started attending tractor shows.

Another good recomendation for Dennis. He is a square shooter. I just wish I lived closer to him so I could buy some of those great tractors he sells. Of course I'd be single again after 35 years of marriage.Hmmmmm m!!

Old Raceway M is alive and well. Ran it about a month ago on a nice warm afternoon. Still haven't gotten around to installing a new thermostat and work on the liftall or reinstall the lights. Pulled some bushes for a neighbor this last summer. I did install a new seat spring which has resulted in bloody noses from the higher altitude. :)

How close are you to SW Wisconsin? Shipping is so expensive.

Dennis Cronbraugh in photo ads has a couple of sets for sale. He has them listed as H fenders but the same fender was used on both the H and M. Make sure to get the extensions to give yourself a little bit more room to get on and off the tractor. I have traded with Dennis.
