I apologize if this posting is off topic. I am conducting a safety-related research project regarding preventing injuries and deaths from tractor rollovers. One of the most popular tractors out there without a rollbar is the Farmall M. We are trying to design a "cheap" rollbar for this tractor. I work out of Morgantown, West Virginia and would like to locate a Farmall M nearby to take axle housing measurements (for rollbar design) from. Can anybody help?

Bruce:
Thanks for your quick reply, and I appreciate your generous offer. It sounds like you have been around a lot of tractors...so I have a simple question. What does the axle housing look like on an M? Is it round or rectangular? Do you know if it is the same on a Farmall-H?

Other tractors we are hoping to design for include: Ford 8N, Ford 3000, Ford 4000, AC-D17, MF-135. Do you have access to any of these?...know anything about the axle housings (round vs. rectangular/square)?

I apologize for all the questions. We are just anxious to keep moving this project forward. I hesitate to post my email address for fear of spam, but I am interested in communicating with you directly if possible. My office phone is 304.285.6120. Thanks again.
