I just put a three point hit on my 1944 M and cant remember how to hook up the hydraulics. If I remember correctly, the pressure hose connects to the front outlet on the left side of the tractor and the return would be attached to a tee installed on the filler.

Also, does anyone know how full I shoud have the fluid (depth from the top of filler)?

Thanks

I ran from right side to a two way valve. From valve, two lines to rear. One line for up and one line for down (pressure). I lower back blade down and can lift rear wheels up in the air. Digs like a Badger in a gravel pit. I love it!!

As stated in an earlier post, you only need one hose. Put a breather plug in the other end of the cylinder (if it's a 2-way cylinder) and the oil will flow back to the pump through the same hose when the pressure is released.

Either front port will work fine. If you have two cylinders on the 3pt, use them both. The rear port on the left may be used, and will not have any delay unless oil can flow from the front ports. I have a loader on the front ports of my M, and a 3pt on the left rear port. Ball-type shut-off valves let me lock either unit in place when running the other one.

IF youre using a singe acting cylinder, you wont need a return.Just pipe the cylinder(s) into either of the front ports and away you go.

The full level is not critical, if the 3 point does not lift all the way to the top, add one quart at a time until it does.

You can put the return tee at the drain plug under the tractor. I did and it works fine.

The front left or right is best. The left rear will work but there will be slight delay. I don't remember the level. I made a dip stick that compensated for the return tee.
