H runs again

I always have a better appreciation / understanding of equipment once I have had them all apart and put back together again. This is really an easy tractor to work on. Simple, sturdy, an elegant design in an agricultural sort of way. No tricky stuff. No need for an extra joint between your elbow and wrist. Except for mounting the radiator. With the same exhaust it seems quieter than before.

It is no wonder that they sold so many of them.

Help me understand here. You are trying to plow with a Farmall H and are upset because a JD 70 Diesel can outpull you?? Well, I would hope to shout!

Those two tractors are not even close to being in the same class. That 70 just has a lot more snort!

What am I missing? Or, are you talking about two JDs? They are both great old sisters, tho. :>)

We have a light alluvial soil up here. I bought the plow (JD 44) from an old guy who used it with his H Farmall too. He was working either 120 or 160 acres with it. H's are more than willing to still work for a living.
