Case-IH 2150 is ok, but it is synthetic enamel, or old paint chemistry. Farm store paint is not quality paint and not worth considering unless the tractor is kept inside all the time, or you want to paint it again in a couple of years. The paint that came on your tractor was probably IH 50, not 2150. An equivalent PPG code is 70019, or you can use DuPont 7410. If you get the acrylic enamel version, these are still reasonably priced paints. I would recommend that you also use primer made by the same company as the topcoat.

Rudi has it right, go to your Case-IH dealer. I painted a 1940 H using only the 2150 in aerosol cans, if I had done a little better job with the prep work, I would now almost have a show tractor. Also, this paint does not require any type of exotic breathing apparatus, you will probably want to wear some kind of respirator, but you should be able to get that at a NAPA store, or similar.

Rustoleum has the color also VAN SICKLE and DIAMOND VOGEL The TSC store would have it also unless you want to spend lots of money then go to DUPONT or PPG.

Derrick:

Best place is to go to your CaseIH Dealer and ask for Ironguard 2150 Rouge Red. Also, you could go to the Cub Manual server at the link below, click on Paint, Decals and Other Finishs ?'s, then Paint Chart, and it will list all the available cross-references for 2150 that we have been able to identify. These would be available at most paint outlets or auto parts/paint stores.

Hope this helps
