Kelly, shoot me an email and let me know what size you are looking for. I may have what you need in B7. You're not going to find Grade 8 threaded rod, it would have to be manufactured specially. B7 is about equal to a grade 5, but it is the strongest threaded rod you're going to find on the shelf for a decent price. Bryan

Grade 8 allthread is available, I used to sell both the B-7 and grade 8. Coal mines and gold mines used to use lots of it.

Their B7 rod is 4140 steel and should test out at grade 8 specs. Grade 8 fastners are an alloy much like 4140 or 4130 steel.

Kelly, I was able to get grade 8 threaded rod from Fastenal a number of years ago when I built my sleeve puller. HTH

Kelly, If you can find some A-193 B7 stud grade threaded rods, they would be the equivalent of Grade 8. You can probably find these at McMaster-Carr or Fastenal.

Kelly,

I usually look at McMaster Carr (www.mcmaster.com ) for hardware. Look under fasteners for threaded rod. Pick the catalog page. At the top of the catalog page they have a link to information on steel grades. It looks like most stainless is about grade 2. The A7 and B16 are about grade 5. Grade 8 might be hard to find.

I was going to say try McMaster Carr but Greg beat me to it. I have had good luck with them. Brad

I'm pretty sure you chose stainless steel (s/s). I would be surprised if you find any threaded rod that is Class 8 or better. Somebody will post the URL for the Industrial site that I can't think of at the moment.... CRS
