I have a 1950 Farmall Super A and have thrown a tooth off of a gear in the transmission. I believe it is just an oil slinger (or oil pump) gear. It appears to be aluminum and is in constant rotation as long as the clutch is engaged. It is located on the very back of the top cluster. Does anyone know if the Farmall B is the same tranmission? Is the farmall A the same? The Farmall C? The Farmall Super C? I think the 100 is a Super A with a water pump, is the tranny the same?

Buy a new one. Aftermarket replacements for the 354643R11 are available for $50-65. Most (A,B,C & others) are the same but there is a variation such as in the I-240 and some gear options. I don't recall for sure, but I think one has 39 teeth and the other 41. DON'T GO to CASEIH. They wanted $300 for the one for my 240. They said I had to pay for the high standards of quality. The reason my OEM had failed was because of flaws in the pot metal casting around the hub.

Can you point me to the aftermarket parts dealers?
Thanks

Blaine, That gear is the same on the A and B. The C is a different transmission. I think the 100 transmission is also the same as the A and B. I just changed that gear on my B when I rebuilt it. I ended up completely disassembling the transmission as it is at the end of the bottom shaft and you need to take it all the way out to get that gear off. That gear is only needed if you do a lot of PTO work with the tractor standing as when the tractor is in any gear the gears get lubricated. Roger

Thanks. I use the tractor mostly for standing PTO work and that's why I want to replace the gear. I realized I would have to pull the clusters all the way apart.
