HEY GUY'S CAN SOME ONE TELL ME THE FIRING ORDER ON DIS CAP FOR A 41 H.I KNOW WHERE #1 IS BUT WHICH DIRECTION ON THE CAP DOES FIRING ORDER GO.THIS MAY BE A DUMB QUIESTION IS #1 PLUG IN FRONT OR BACK OF MOTOR BECAUSE WHEN YOU READ FIRING ORDER OFF MOTOR IT GIVES YOU THE IDEA #1 PLUG WOULD BACK TO FRONT.THANKS TO ALL THAT WILL RESPONSE.I JUST GOT HOOK ON THESE OLD TRACTORS SO I AM SORRY TO SAY THIS MAY NOT BE THE LAST TIME YOU HERE FROM ME. THANK GUY'S

You are wright it is confusing the way it is on the block. When #1 is lined up on fire should be in approx 2oclock your cap should be marked #1 there also. Now you did say dis. Mag is the same and rotor goes clockwise on both dist and mag. Take #1 plug out and make sure you are on compression and not exhaust stroke.

Easy fix Jim, looking at the outside plug end of the cap you hook up the wires in a clockwise rotation. The front plug (up by the radiator) is # 1 and then back to #4 at the rear by the gas tank.
If you know where #1 is on the cap, that wire goes to the front plug. Then the next wire from the dist. cap goes to #3 plug, then #4 plug and finally #2 plug. Hope this helps ya out.
