I have found a 1973 International model 664 tractor for sale and need some info on this model as far as reliability, fair selling price or whatever you know. A older man who has not farmed in several years has it locked up in a barn and says it has not been cranked in over a year, but was running fine the last time he used it. It is a diesel with power steering and the sheet metal looks very good. He says he needs to get $3000.00 for it does this sound reasonable?
Thanks

I had not heard of a 664 so in looking in my hotline book I found it it has a 239 cid engine, was made 72-74, 61.5 hp., 10/2 trans. sold new for around 7500 and must be rare??? If I were you I would want you hear it run to operating temp. drive it try every gear, it must have a 5 speed with TA. The TA may not work no big deal, $3000.00 would be a steal I would think. WT. about 6000. Keep us posted on it Jim

I did some more reading The starting serial # 1972--2501, 1973--3212, 1974--3824. I would assume it has the same eng. as the 674 I couldn't find it, but the 684 has the same eng. the 674 started production in 1973.
