Does anyone know if there is a good way to remove the main air bleed and the main jet seat from a D10 carb on an H ? It would be nice to do it without damaging the jets or the carb, but I am planning on replacing the jets.

Thanks

Greg

Greg: I rebuild a lot of carbs and have found no way to remove these without destroying the bowl. I.h. service manuals would have you remove with small slide puller(which destroys the jets in the process) and install new. I have not found anyone who has new jets. I have considered having a machine shop machine new but I don't have specs. In reality though, most jets are in good shape and do not need to be changed.

Thanks for the reply. I was afraid that I would have to use a puller on them. That usually means that there is no going back if the changes don't work.

The local IH dealer found the main jet and air bleed that go with the domed pistons and the .240 lift cam. If you could tell me how to measure them, I could do that before I put them in.

Greg
