how do i check and or change the oil at the bull gear and pinion gear on a cub, is it the same oil that is in the transmission

If you have a drawbar, it will have to be removed to check the oil level of the left final drive. The drawbar bracket covers the fill/inspection plug. The right plug is in front of the drawbar bracket.

The two pans need to come off the bottom of each drop housing. You will need two new gaskets and 90 wt. gear oil. The fill plug in at the rear of the final drive, above the pan on the right side and toward the front on the left side.
