Well here is a picture of my 1938 F-14 :D

There was a add in the paper for a F-12 parts tractor, for $50, called the guy and told him i was coming to get it. It turned out to be a F-14, on cast all around ans good 40" rubber in the back that is the original. The front rims are good, but on the back rim is shot and so is the casting, never seen the cast center eaten away like that , got a rim from a friend of mine and located a cast, valve cover and a governor. They took off the governor ans hooked up a throtel direct to the carb, never seen that before. it has a F-12 head and valve cover so i have to change it. Go the head ready to take off ans will get it off today and see what it looks like the crank still is fulll of oil, and no water.

F-14's have rubber steering wheels. I have an F-12 that has the raised steering also. Still a great find and wish I could get some of those deals. Good luck with it.

Not to bust your bubble, but I think it is a 12,with the raised steering. The brake handles are shorter as well,Look on the block near the mag for a bolt hole.thre breather tube bolts to the block near the mag,so if theres a bolt hole on the block it is a 14,could just have some 12 parts on it though, check the serial number on the back of the front tank support or on a flat surface in front of the fuel pump.regardless of what it is,you did good!Enjoy it,thats what its all about!

If you are interested at all in keeping it original I wouldn't be too quick to replace that valve cover without checking out the serial number first. Some of those F-12s were simply retrofitted afterwards with that steering set up. It may in fact still be an F-12.
