I was talking with a guy at work.He tells me about a auction,that has a supper H with a hand clutch.is this a after market unit? or did supper H have a hand clutch? Thanks Bill

Letter series Farmalls did not have live PTO's. The M&W add on stops the tractor but leaves the PTO running to prevent balers, etc from plugging in heavy conditions. The foot operated clutch is unaffected and is still used when shifting the transmission gears, and starting/stopping the tractor.

okie-dokie, I forgot the SMTA, but you wouldn't put an M&W on it -- I tend to forget tractors that have live pto's when this question comes up. I'll be more careful next time. However, some MTA's did have a dead pto.

Has to be an aftermarket item because IH never made a hand clutch.

No JD didn't make a Super H. As a matter of fact several of their H's were standard and poores. Yuk
