What is the correct method of extracting fuel injectors on a IH 666 with a 312 engine? Any favorite shops to have them reconditioned ?

Wayne you need to drain the water because the injectors set in a brass sleve and it could come out with the injector them you have water in the cylinder. should not pull hard unless leaking compression around it.

I always clean around them really good even a little pent. oil. Them take the hold downs off and work the loose w/ a crescent wrench or vice grip and the lift them out sometimes had to use a thin wonder bar to pry up. If they were bad I just traded them for reman inj. They were around 45 a piece but this was on a 1086. My 10 cents worth.
