Is there a way to adjust or update the 806 linkage? It is very hard to get in and out of high, low and reverse and I cant get it into 4th gear.I pull it all the way back and it gets between 3rd and 4th. Thank you

Call Wenz serv 1-800-808-7885 - he has several updates to the IH shift linkage depending on where the problem is - updated shift cams that shift into gear further, different collars that lock the shift rods together and eleminate the play. I had a 1566 that was not going into 2nd or jumping out and the cam took care of the problem.

Had a 756 with the same problem when we bought it. Look under the dash for broken roll pins, if the 806 shifting is similar.

Yes there can be some adjusting done to it but some are so worn it wont make a difference. We have an 856 that is that way and when we cant get it in gear we just let up on the clutch while you are tring to shift it into gear. If it starts to grind into gear while tring this just push in the clutch and try again.
