Phillip: Tell him to show up with what satisfies you as good money and look after his own shipping. Just tell him you advertised equipment, not shipping services.

Same thing happened to me, different guy. But they sent a cashiers check for 7500.00. 5000 more than the asking price. The check was oviously fake, but I called the bank in CA (I live in KS, check mailed from MD) They said it was one of many recent forged on their bank. They wanted to ship my old swather overseas, ya right!

Watch out.

Before I sold anything out of the USA, I would get and verify his personal address and phone number. I have had replies from ads that came supposedly from europe, and they usually want to pay you with a check drawn on a USA bank for an amount larger than your item, and you are to transfer by wire the change to their account. Then the supposed USA check turns out to be a complete fake, and you are stuck. I recently had a motorcycle for sale on ebay, and the price was $17,000. I got an offer to buy it, with a check for $89.000. I was to wire $72,000 to his account. How many years do you think it would take me to pay back the bank for the fraud check? They would have taken my house. I will not sell anything out of the USA. There is plenty of stuff in europe for them to buy. Check the link below for more info.

I would say its a scam even if it isn't I think I would pass so I would not have to deal with all the hassel of trying to ship it. Just tell him you will only sell it to someone local.
just my opinion

I have had this Larry guy and a Frank Robinson in Holland try to do the same for a old duetz cab I have for sale here. A total scam since they really have no idea what they are supposidly buying. I had these same offers for a peruvian horse I had advertised on a horse site. I wish there was a way to nail these guys. What do they think, farm people are too dumb and trusting?? Pretty fishy when you get an email full of spelling and capitalization from a ceo of his own company.
