Been reading the posts on 12v conversion and wondered with the 12v coil where the coil to distributor wire goes? and is it true you don't need a ballast resistor?

Negative ground tractor... Power wire from ignition switch to (+) side of coil. Wire from (-) side of coil to breaker points/condensor.

Positive ground tractor... reverse the above connections.

Does that answer your question about where the wire goes... I'm not sure I understood what you were asking?

And, yes, it is true you do not need a ballast resistor IF YOU HAVE A 12 VOLT COIL SPECIFICALLY LABELLED "NO EXTERNAL RESISTOR REQUIRED".
