Getting ready to get ready :-)
I will be pulling the motor soon. I would like to get the most HP I can and still not beak the bank on the kit.

Also was thinking I should send the head out to get redone. Any one know of a place around MPLS that does this work?

If you decide to get a stepped head piston & sleeve set, make sure your cylinder head has not been replaced with one from an H. I know several people that have run into this problem, and the results are not pretty, as the piston makes contact with the cylinder head.

Kelly, TRY,
1 Abilene Machine @ Abilene, KS--800-255-0337 or Belmond, IA--800-866-1504

2 O.E.M. Tractor Parts @ Bloomington, IA--800-283-2122

Prices seem to be good from either place. Difference might me the cost of freight! OBTW when I had a new clutch,P.plate, throwout bearing & TA put in my 966,(3 yrs ago) they came from Abilene machine. I don't have a current Abilene Catalogue. The price from OEM is about $700 to $750for everything. None the less call and get the catalogues. Hope this helps! Keep us posted on your progress.
Good Luck,
John A.

Thanks John.
I found the web site for Abilene Machine.
They have fair prices I think.
I noticed they have rebuilt TA's for my 300 for $489. Might be getting one of those. Will have to see if I can rebuild the old one my self 1st.
