how much weight could i add to this tractor while plowing snow. i read where a guy on this site has a loader and uses a 400pound counter weight. i currently have just the stock wheel weights in back and tire chains but i half to ride the right brake alot becuase of the offset design the tractor has the factory 54inch snowplow.

redcub: Where is your factory cast wheel? If it is on the right side as it should be you shouldn't need to ride either brake. If the tractor is a true factory set up, it is already balanced. Adding a counter weight with a snow blade just removes weight from your front axle, which in turn will cause front end to push side ways even worse if angle plowing. Another item on that offset tractor, your rear tires should both be same distance from the fender. How much chloride have you in the tires? Is it the same in both wheels?

You can double the wheel weights on the right side if you want to. That will add about 135 pounds to that side.
