I have purchased new rod bearings for my H. The old bearing is .002 undersize with number 355268R1 and marked .002. The new bearing is 355268R11 and marked 02. Would this be the same bearing? There is only one person at the dealer that will take the time to answer question and he wasn't there.

Bill, I always use Plastigage to check clearances no matter what. It is better to know what clearances you have before you have everything together and start the engine to find the problem. You can get Plastigage at any NAPA store or other auto parts store. Roger

Bill, before you button up the bottom end check the main bearing clearances!!! If they are at or above the max clearance replace them too. Loose main and tight rods can and will take out the rods from oil starvation. Good luck

I have rebuilt the engine on my H and checked the box the bearings came in and the number you show matches the number for the .002" undersize. Therefor, if you show 355268R11 it would be correct.
