Looks like I found out what are the hard parts to get for that F 20. The cylinder seems to be hard to come by. I find that people are even selling used cylinders to put back in there. How much wear would be acceptable with a used cylinder? What would a new cylinder Mic at? I was wondering is cylinders could be made on a lath?
What type of steel are they made of?

any decent engine shop can clean up a set of used sleeves, order a set of custom pistons for the new bore dia., file-fit rings and your back in business. I think there's a couple companies out of MI that make new sleeves too, dont have any contact info though. there's a parts store near home here sometimes he can find things the case dealers can't WTP 814-763-2156 saegertown pa

The shafts now are cylinderical ground, but I suppose you could turn one up on a lathe and polish it up. I wouldn't think they were made of anything more than mild steel, but Stress Proof would be nice, but 4130 or 4340 would be better, or 303(???) stainless. I don't have any clue what the F20 cylinders mic at.
