I just bought an IH 1586 and an 806 and I was wandering if anyone could tell me how to test the compression on these tractors. I have a compression gauge on order, but not quite sure how to test. any info would be a huge help, thanks

You will have to pull the injectors, so you will have to drain the water because when you pull the injectors you could pull the brass sleve the injectors sets in. then you will need an adapter to replace the injector to connect the tester to and bolt it in the injector hole because if compression is good you will not be able to hold it by hand like one can on a gas engine. Hope this helps some.
