Just overhauled engine, new distributor cap, condenser, rotor, plugs and wires and new clutch. Carburator is two years old. It will not run under load. It acts like it is flooding and chokes down and cuts off. I have always been told that black smoke means too much gas. I have disassembled the carburator and could not see anything wrong. Any suggestions on what to check?

Farmall 140 will not start. I've been told that the condenser needs to be replaced. Any suggestions or instructions on how to do this.

JW: I agree with Bus Driver, it has to be your float. I put a kit in my 140 and found that float adjustment to be very sensitive. I had mine apart 3-4 time before I got it right. I have done my SA and 130 in past, not near as sensitive.

Possibly the float is filled with gasoline due to a hole in the float. Did anyone alter the hole in the high speed jet?
