Don't know if this is to new for this section, but I doubt it was built after '80. What would be year of an IH backhoe, 4 cyl diesel #'s 3444 and 39000-3095-P Don't know what or where those #'s are from yet. Any idea what this would weigh? Or where to find more info? Thanks Joel

Thanks guys. So 3444 is the model and the other number is possibly the serial number. Is there a place to check serial for year? What would be a ballpark value? A high and low. I'm checking this for my Dad who is in love with this machine and may be willing to pay to much. Or is that not possible. Joel

Hi, I believe these backhoes are mounted on an industrial version of the UK made B414,434,444, 384 with a BD154 Diesel. So parts for the engine & power train should be the same as the agricultural version.

I had a 3444 with the 3141 hoe, it was called the backhoe special. the diesel version had a bd 154. one very strong engine. the bd stood for british diesel. to the best of my knowledge it was built around 1971-1973

THATS PROBLABLY TRUE. BUT I DON'T THINK THEY BUILT THE BACHOE SPECIALS UNTIL THE EARLY 70S. I HAD A 3414 GAS FOR PARTS AND ALOT OF PARTS WERE THE SAME AND SOME WERE DIFFERENT. THERE WERE SOME MODELS BUILT AFTER THE 3444, I DON'T KNOW THE MODEL #S ON THEM BUT MOST OF THEM HAD WOBBLE STICKS ON THE HOE. I THINK THE 2141/3141 WAS THE LAST HOE MODELS TO USE THE 4 LEVER CONTROL SYSTEM BESIDE THE SEAT. THESE WERE REALLY POWERFULL HOES. YOU WOULD RIP TEETH OFF OF THE BUCKET WHEN RIPPING CONCRETE. YOU CANT BUY A HOE THAT HAS THAT KIND OF POWER TODAY.
