I may be going Saturday to an auction where this 706 is at, this tractor has not ran in 2 years, not stuck, but has a bad rear rim, two point hitch, no drawbar, kind of rough overall. It is showing 3361 for hours, he has a 5 bottom plow for it, so I think it has been worked hard, also an 18 foot disc. I did notice that about mid way between the engine and transmission, about where I guess that the T/A would be, that it looked like it had been very hot, so what problem would I find there? It also had one side of the brake clevice piston broken off at the block, is that hard to fix? Bottom line is, What is it worth? Thanks.

Try not to give any more than $1000 for it. It does have a few good things going for it, wheel weights, decent sheet metal, and flat top fenders, but the Shwartz wide front is nothing special. Not sure what could have gotten hot, mabey an electrical fire at some point?

Maybe about $2000 to $2500. Looks like it has good sheet metal and WFE. The 706 is a good tractor, but it likes to drink gas. Can you drive the tractor? Does TA workin both high and low? Not sure what the problem might be that it would have got hot.

It looks pretty sad. In that condition, I would say not over $1,000.
