We are thinking of swapping the NF on our 666 for a WF as we have a loader on the tractor. How big of a job is this? Will a WF from another tractor like a 656, 706, 806 etc bolt right on? I have someone interested in the NF, what's it worth complete with hubs, wheels and nearly new tires? How much can I expect to pay for a complete WF? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for any help!

You need a wide front from any 06, 26, or 56 series row-crop. 656 Farmall and 686 also have the same front end. They will bolt right up. The only difference you might run into is that the bigger tractors sometimes had bigger wheel bearings/hubs, in which case you would need to buy the bearings, hubs, and wheels, instead of using the hubs/wheels off of your narrow front. It is a easy job, especially if your loader has down-pressure. Just use the loader to lift the front end off the ground, and block the tractor up securely. We bought a very good 706 front end for $800 four years ago. Remember, you need a front end from an ordinary row-crop (Farmall). There was a guy on here a few weeks ago who bought a 656 High-Crop front end sight-unseen for his 656 Farmall. It wasn't even close. Same with the Utility tractors, don't buy a 606 or 656 Utility front end for your 666.

Thanks for the info. I have located a newly rebuilt widefront off an 06 series tractor, complete with hubs, asking $1000. Loader has down pressure, so getting the tractor up in the air shouldn't be a problem.
