I bought a used air cleaner assy from someone on this site, and it bolted to the engine block correctly and matches up with the carb. I ordered two new tops for this air cleaner ( intake screen on the top) but they are the same diamter as the air cleaner pipe, I would assume that th cam should slide down over the pipe but they will not match up. I s ther a piece of rubber that is supposed to go between the two pieces ? I also ordered a new cup for the bottom of the air cleaner and it doesent fit right either ? Did someone sell me an air cleaner for a different tractor like a (c) or somthing ?

J Mirgon, The C and A used the same air cleaners, notice I said cleaners as more that one type. The C and A series tractors used either a United Specialties or a Donaldson oil bath air cleaner. To make matters even worse the inlet sizes could also be different. Your best bet is to measure the air cleaner inlet size and call Franks tractor parts. He specializes in the offset series tractor parts.

No rubber, I think the A and C are different. Call Mike at Steel Wheel Ranch and have the pipe diameter handy, he can probably help you out. 785-548-7437.
