I got a 42 A earlier this year. Started to drain my radiator for the winter and noticed that the drain plug had been rounded off..What is the easiest way of removing this damaged plug???

Are you sure you are finding the right drain? There is a small pipe CAP screwed over a smal pipe nipple to drain the cooling system. No pipe plug. Any good pair of locking pliers (Vice Grips)should work.

I have a 6 inch pipe wrench I use for the tight spots.

being a retired pump machinist i have removed many a frozen pipe plugs.removeing a pipe plug is different from trying to remove a bolt or nut.a plug is made to seal and that it does, where a bolt hase thread clearance a plug does not, therefor no amount of pentitrating oil will help, also i almost never had luck with an ez out.now having said all this, if you can weld a nut on the stud of the plug this may work the weld has to be very good as the plug at this point is proba bly just about welded it self to the radiator, also the plug could be brass or cast then it will have to be brazed (not easy} if that does not work, next file the end of the plug flat so we can drill,it must be flat or the drill will walk off center start with a smaller drill keep getting larger stop when the drill just touches the root diameter of the taped hole, with a very small round nose chisle you should be able to work it out,it you ding it dont worry you can always tap it deeper it you are lucky enough to drill dead center you may just be able to tap it. have faith you can do it.

i did mine last year,it had one drain a 3/8 pipe plug i also got it out with a 6'pipe wrench using a foot long cheeteer but you have to remove the radiator to have room to work. i put in a nipple an elbow and a small ball valve, just to make life simpler next time.dosent matter if not a show tractor.
