I bought me my first 560 here about 2 months ago. The generator was charging good until about a week ago. I took it to a tractor pull, and I looked at the gauge, and it didn't read anything. I shut it off, and a while later, fired it up, and it was charging. Shut it down when I was done pulling and it didn't read the next time I had it running. The gauge hasn't moved since then. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

--ground the "F" terminal of the generator to the tractor frame instead of going thru the regulator. if that works , part of the reg is the problme.
--if not, short the B and A terminals on the regulator together to test the other two coils. if the amp meter now works, the toerh part of the reg is bad.
--if F is grounded, B and A terminals are jumpered, and you have no output, then generator is bad.

it could be the points in the regulator are caroded or the brushes in the genarator are getting worn out
