The clutch pedal on my Super M is worn and wobbles from side to side on the shaft. I plan on taking the pedal to a machinist to have it drilled out and a bushing put in it. Doses anyone out there know what the diameter of the shaft is or how big the hole in the pedal should be or both?

Noticed the same thing on my Super M when adjusting the clutch and brakes. How about just putting washers in there so it won't go side to side? Will that mess things up?

Was also wondering about the free play. The manual said 7/8" ( i think, 400 miles from home now) and I had 3 inches, it also said as it wears the free play will become less. So how the heck did I get more? It was adjusted almost all the way "out", I had to go further out to get the free play down to 7/8".

Probably the shaft is also worn. That is very typical. The shaft can be made reasonably by a machine shop. Just my 2 cents.

I'm with Jim. I'd pull the shaft and take both pedal and shaft to a machinist for refit. A corrected pedal on an egg shaped shaft won't make you happy. Dick Davis
