Hugh is right on the points if my 140 sits too long it wont start either when it was in the body shop i had to clean the points to get it loaded on the trailer to bring home the problem is where the distributor sits and the angle it is on Trick : go to NAPA they have some electrical sealer in a spray can after you get it started again get some of this and spray the distrubutor and the coil the wires too it will seal out all moisture.

Huston: First place I would look is points and condencer. I presume you have current coming in wire from switch to coil, test light will confirm that one. Also inside distributor cap have you any corosion from sitting. Make sure terminals inside cap and rotor are clean.

I will also tell you this, they may cost more but I have a lot more success and a lot better longeviety from CaseIH on ignition parts. When I refurbished my 140 this spring I found a set of points that did not even look same as CaseIH points. They looked as though shape was not right to make good contact in any system. No matter what I tried the terminals did not meet fair on.
