Not sure what this is. Sounds like a home modification. Remove hood and let us know!

Taking the hood off is a pain. I cut a small hole over the valves and welded a u piece on a rod with a handle so I could change it between single and double action as needed. The little tool lays in the tool box.

I've baled with an 850 NH behind a 400 for 11 or 12 years now. I just open the main jet, new plugs and points each year before starting. Depending on year, bale from 300, to this past year got 550. A 450 should do fine.

Remove the right engine hood to expose the bank of hydraulic valves. Valves have an index bushing on top that point to "S" or "D." Whatever valve you are running through, be sure "D" is selected for double-action cylinders. Takes a 5/8 wrench, I believe.

You should have both hoses in the same side, but you may have your valves set for 1-way instead of 2-way. If you move the lever both ways you should hear the hydralics pull down the motor if you don't hear that you need to change the setting on the valve. A manual tells how to do that or post back. Hope this helps Brian.
