The '67 706 Farmall narrow front I bought last week is leaking hydraulic fluid pretty badly from around the square plate (about 4"x4" w/ a bolt in each corner) located on the side of the cast iron piece where the wheels pivot, below the radiator. (I guess this is called a bolster - it think it would be if it were an H or M.) Is there anyone out there who has taken one of these apart and knows what I will see when I do? Will I need to drain all the HyTran fluid first? Could this be just a gasket problem, or something worse? Any help is appreciated!

That is where you can get at the rack that does the steering should be a O Ring behind the plate will loose some oil but not much may have to take the side rail of to get at it you should see the end of the raik and the flange of the sleve the rack is in the sleve can be turned so the rack can be adjusted up to the bolster shaft to that play out but you should not have to do anything with that.

Aces, Sounds as if my problem could be (might be?) the O-Ring. I'll take it apart & have a look. Thanks for the help!
