I have a 450 that I just got and I am trying to figure out how the 2 piont hitch is changed over to 3 point the arms don't move from side to side like on my fords so how in the world do you hook them up to a plow etc if you can't move them out and then big in to put them over the pins also figure I have never seen the convirsion so I'm in the dark how it works and till I know I can't make one I built a 3 point for my olive 77 so I think I could for a 450 if I know how it works

I put the lower lift arms on the implement first. Block them up with some pieces of wood and back the tractor in to the implement. When the lower lift arms are about half way in the fast hith, raise the fast hitch a few inches and then back up until the latches lock in the lower lift arms. Get off and hook up the top link. I find it alot easier than hooking up a standard 3 point. The one problem is not all 3 point equipment is standard. I bought a new post hole digger a few years ago which was wider than 26" at the lower lift pins. Had to build a set of lower lift arms which I offset the ball ends a little bit.

The lift arms for the 3 point conversion do not have the balls in the ends, rather, they have slots, and are very similar to those quick hitches that you see on more modern tractors.

The adapter arms that came with my IHC 350u have the swivel balls on the end. They slide into the 2 point sockets and latch. Did the engineers really think a person should stand between the impliment and tractor while guiding the arms into the sockets???? There must be some other way.

A quick way is to put the arms on the implement first and then back into them but this requires 2 people. Sorry thats all I know
our bale movers had a shaft that slid in all away across the bale mover it didnt have a stub shaft on each side.
Good luck
