Bill there is a product called "Risolone" that I used to get at an auto p[arts store around here and it was great, but there are likely other trade name additives thart will work. I've seen my boss pour ATF(automatic transmission fluid) down the carb of a running engine to loosen up sticking valves...that don't work so good on an updraft tractor carb...good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario

Bill: Go to your local NAPA store and get yourself a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil. Pour the whole thing in your gas tank when it has about ten gallons of fuel. (It won't hurt if there is a bit more or less gas when you get ready to pour it in. It will clean and lubricate the valves and clean the varnish out of your carb, too. John Walls in Cumming, GA

Try some oil additives. I have on a H removed the rocker cover and poured Marvel Oil around the guides to add extra lubricant. Had a push rod bend because of a sticky valve. Worked for me. Good luck.
