Got in a bunch of parts recently a tank for F-20.Looking at it I see that it has 2 outlets in the bottom of main tank. The extra one is outboard of the fitting that the strainer would thread into. It appears to be the same kind of fitting and has the same 4 small spotwelds[??]and soldered in just like the other one.In other words it looks like a factory job, or someome did an extra nice job of adding this in. Never seen this before, why would this extra fitting be there??

Yes Dave, that fitting is standard on F20 tanks. I assume it is for a drain. The ones I have seen have a square headed pipe plug instaled.

Intresting! I have a pair of '37s and neither one of these have the extra fitting for a drain. Was this something particular to certain years??

My '36 F-20 has that drain, and yep, just like NE Cowman said, it has a square-head pipe plug in it.

Something else to add to my list of things to look for next time I get to a tractor show.Kind of like-how many F-20's you ever seen without the belt pulley assembly? Think I've only ever seen one at the shows.Must have been a factory or dealer delete order? Farmer must have had nothing that required belt power,or had something else to provide it.
