I have been interested in either one of these tractors and thinking about getting one and was wondering what the pros and cons were. Thanks

I have a W4 and really like it. On the down side I had a bad gear in it and couldn't find one to replace it with. The good part is they are close to the same as the H so I changed a lot of the gears and now have it about ready to run again. Some people say they are just like the H transmision but they are not. Now that I have said that, a lot of people will tell me they have used parts for them but couldn't find them when I needed them. That is part of having a tractor that is not junked out very often. If you can get one go for it. Good luck.

I have an I-4 that I can hardly wait to get running so I can drive it, I have driven a W-4, and they are somewhat awkward after having driven an H, but it is all what you get used to. The only cons I can think of for either of these tractors would be the fact that a 3 point hitch cannot be installed, but if you don't need it, it doesn't matter.

I have a '46 W4 and a '48 OS4 that I have rebuilt and use for show or pulling. I absolutly love these two tractors and would not get rid of them for anything. I have worked with several M's and H's but I prefer the W's. It's all what you like. There are not very many W4' s around and even fewer OS4' s.
