My H looses maybe a few drops of antifreeze out of the overflow pipe. I got a new Radiator cap from IH. The previous one from IH was round, this new one has little ears on it. The problem is, my grill is a little dented and can't get this one on. Where can I get a round one?

It may not be that simple. Early H tractors use a different cap than later H tractors. I got the wrong one from the dealer the first time around, too.

The early H had a different radiator cap. I am not sure when they changed. The cap on the early ones was round and was for a non pressurized system. Our 1941 H that we bought new has the non pressure type radiator. The non pressure radiator has the locking tabs on the inside of the neck, the Pressure radiator has the locking ears on the outside and has a seat for the pressure cap to seal on.
Hope this helps. Farmall Fred

Fred:

My dealer seems confused when I ask for a radiator cap with inside locking tabs for my 40 H.
I have parts book on order but can you give me a part number for this cap or another place to buy one. IH dealers are few and far between here.

Rich
