I figured I'd check with the farmall guys. Can anyone tell me if a 400 is about the same size as an M, and the 300 is about the same size as an H? How about HP for each? I tried finding info on these tractors and the specs are hard to find. This site lists some of the farmalls under serial numbers but not all. Where is a good Farmall site for specifications. Thanks

Richard: While I won't attempt to add any of my (limited) knowledge on this particular subject, the link below does have some good Farmall info.

Richard, the others have answered about the HP. The 400/450 & 300/350 were a few inches longer than the the M & H due to the addition of the TA. The housing ahead of the transmission is a little longer. The weight also increased due to the extra iron in the housing, larger fluid capacities, and the live PTO. So you're looking at a few inches and around a 200 or more pounds. The extra weight isn't significant when compared to the possibility of fluids in the tires, as this would potentially be a big difference from a tractor with fluid in the tires versus one that doesn't have fluid in the tires.

Anything you need to know will be found in the answers on this board -- for specs check www.weberstractorworks.com. The answer to your 1st question is yes. Sequence was H/Super H/300/350/460, and M/Super M/Super MTA/400/450/560. The 460 and 560 were 6 cylinder tractors, vs 4 for the others, and had several improvements, but were based on the H and M series.
