I had to get a starter in my 400. Seems when ever I have some thing its the odd ball one.
Mine has a gear reduction starter and cost me $300 for a rebuilt one from NAPA. And thats with a $25 discount for my wifes work.
Oh well it only hurts for a little wile.

Ah Kelly thats the wheel of Krama coming around and hitting you in the rear...you got all uppity and bought another tractor when the faithful H had served you so well. The poor thing probably will never run a baler again, will be left to menial chores like pulling hayracks and some loader work....

Maybe. I am determined to keep a job for my H.
But with me moving to a haybine the mowing is going to the 300. So I guess that leaves raking.
Having to many tractors is a nice problem to have.

We ended up with at one time five on ten acres of tillable ground at one time. One MM R with the cultivator on it, a DC case with the loader, another R to rake and another to mow, and a B John Deere for all the rest.

Ouch! Sounds pretty gold-plated. But with all that money you will be making with those Farmalls, you recoup that in no time.

You can make money with anything Chris, you just need to be creative. My dad just sold his summer cattle last week and now he has rented the grazed out pasture to some city dudes to run their horses all winter.
