i need a new battery, how many cranking amps does a super C need? it doesnt say on the battery i have

It all depends..... A common car battery has anywhere from 375 to 750+ CCA. I can recall when a 375 CCA battery was a big battery. I would bet the SC had a battery that did not make 300 CCA, if that, as OEM. Remember that CCA is defined as Cold Cranking Amps. This says nothing about reserve capacity or cranking capacity at say... 80 degrees F. How much does the tractor need? This depends on things like temperature, compression, condition of the starter, etc. How big should you go? My rule of thumb is to get the biggest battery that will fit. I grew up in the COLD northern climate of Wisconsin, so I have my own biased opinion.
