Has anyone ever seen or have info on an IHC corn shock tier? A hand held device for tieing corn bundles together to make a shock.

I guess no one else will reply, so I'll tell what little I remember. I don't have any idea if the one I remember was IH. It was a pulley arrangement with an automatic catch that held tension on the rope as it was pulled up tightly. It worked much like the friction catch on a fence stretcher by squeezing the rope. The main part that held the pulley was open on one side so it could be easily attached to the rope without using the end.

In use, the end would be tossed one way around the shock and you would try to catch it by running in the other direction. I don't remember for sure, but I would say the light rope was about 15 feet long.

Ours was last used during World War II.
