Recently posted a message about a IH 2 bottom plow that I just purchased. Don't know when it was made or the exact model. One of the beams has PO23402 on it the other has PO23403 on it. Down by the disk it has PO2564 on it. I just posted an image of it in the Implement photos part of this site, so feel free to take a long. Already been primered, so think all I need to do is get some paint. Are there any paint specs for it? Thanks

Justin: I looked at your picture, definately a Little Wonder. Model No.1 2x14 and built from 1921 to 1925. Model No. 2 still 2x14 and built from 1925 to 1942. Model No. 3 was single bottom only and Model No. 4 a 2 bottom built from 1940 to 1948. nothing about width of furrow. I would say from picture your plow has to be a number 4. The number one was not clutch lift. Description indicates No.2 was just a No.1 with clutch lift added. Levers on those two have a bend just above notches. The number 3 and 4 have straight levers like your plow.

Seems like you're the right guy to ask some more questions about the Little Wonder, which you say I have the #4. I picked up some Case IH Red 2150 paint as well as their off white/cream color paint. The guys at the Case dealership never heard of any IH implements having any blue color on them. I ended up buying something they reccommended called "DMI Blue."

Got the plow home tonight from where it was at auction. The left trip locked in place and when I went to lower it, it put strain on the wire that is on the trip and it broke. I think I am going to use an old wicket from a political sign to do the fix. Same type of wire and size!

My question is this--What parts get painted what. I want to do it right. I saw in the Implements forum section that there is one titled "1930's IH Little Genius #8 2-14 Plow" from Clyde in In. Comments under the photo showed that someone says it is definitely a Little Wonder #4. Do you confer? If so, I will match the paint with what he has in the picture. Also I see some Little Genius plows with a rope or something attached to above the left wheel and goes in the direction of the tractor. Any idea what this is and what it is for?

Thanks

Justin

Hugh

Thanks for identifying the plow for me. I am new to tractor and implement collecting. This summer I bought a 1944 H. Bought this 2 bottom plow this last weekend for $55. Pretty good bargain considering it really is in great condition. Thanks again for the reply.
