Identifying a sickle mower

I've got a sickle bar mower that I know nothing about. It has been sitting around for as near as anyone can tell for at least fifty years. It is a rear mount type and the only identification I can find on it is perhaps on what one might call the "guards".
It refers to MC, then a number.
Anyone have any idea what kind of mower I have and how about restoring it? I have know idea when it comes to these types of things. Thanks
