Just got a belt pully gear box. Thought I'd add one to my '41 "A".

I have not pulled the blank cover off the tractor yet. Will I find the drive gear/shaft for the pulley gear box behind the cover? Or, will I have to get an additional gear/output shaft?

The manual shows a gear meshing with the gear in the pulley gearbox.

Did you get the tube that slides back and forth to enguage the pto. It has a two prong end and the other end has a grouve for the lever that moves it back?

I'm not sure... The tractor already has an operational PTO. This pulley gear box looks like they just undid the four bolts and popped it off the back of a tractor.

Robert, I had a Super A with a PTO which had a straight shaft coming out. I took the domed cover off the top of that and just bolted the pulley gear box on. Didn't take but a few minutes and works great. Don't throw the domed cap away. I don't know what years were the same though.
