The 504 gas is a C153 4 cyl, 3 3/8" bore x 4 1/4" stroke. I'm not that familiar with the 6 cyl's, but the closest I've found so far is the 460, which has a C221 6 cyl, 3 9/16" bore, 3 11/16" stroke. If you have access to later vehicles check combines, swathers, forklifts, maybe even trucks from mid to late 60's and early 70's.

It might not be a tractor block. Poss a power unit for a combine, forklift, etc. It might help to post the letter from a date casting code, and how many cylinders, then bore and stroke measurements.

HEF,
I don't know too much about this, but I looked in a catalog that sells short blocks.
According to it, the casting number for an "H" is #6695. For Super H is lists #362742.
The only things I see that start with 37##### are for a 404, a 504, a 766, and an 866, but none of the numbers match 372544.

Don't know if this helps any or not !
Maybe someone else will jump in here and help.

Gary
