Mike: Please get a handle on this weather, my snowblade still needs some welding before snow. 130 also needs a tire before winter driveway plowing. I was as a moldboard plowing day, few weeks back, met a guy from Lucan, told me No.7 highway was built along a snowbank in June. Looking out my window this morning, if No.7 highway was meant as a barrier it's not working well. Afterall I did move partially because of your milder SW Ontario winters. I guess we could blame this one on election day. There are snowflakes out there the size of a politician's brain.

Hugh, I just got out of it now....a lot of snow that morning and traffic was crawling along when I left for work at 7...my old neighbour said he had never experienced snow this early in his 84 years, the good news was that it melted quick..now if it would only dry up so we can get at the beans..the ground is so wet it will take several days...Mike in Exeter Ontario

Mike: I heard you guys got a load of it, here the ground barely got white. On 22 highway at Middlesex - Lambton county line was most I saw, about 2-3" and it was mostly hail or ice pellets, and it hung around for a few days. Right here it was just big wet snow flakes and soon turned to rain.

You're right, Hugh, I was hoping that some of our western brethern would have installed a snow fence or so by now to hold it back a bit, but I do believe they've fallen down on the job. We had some of those "Loonie" sized flakes falling on us as we prepare for fall harvest. Its not unusual to be finishing up in November dodging the snow, but we haven't even started yet. Hoping to get that first acre started by Saturday with only 3,400 to go.

Hi Paul, You must have a lot of tractor power to harvest 3400 acres. I guess I cant complain to my wife about sickle mowing 10 acres with my A.

I don't consider any of those items "old stuff"!
Good luck.
