Would a 350's utility motor fit on an H? What kind of rpm's can be run. I know that stock is 2000 but could you push it to 2800? Thanks in advance!

Yes it will fit. Done it several times. The front timing cover has to be changed. The flywheel will also have to be changed. You'll have to put your H clutch disk, and pressure plate back on the 350 motor. The H does'nt have the large input shaft like the 350. Hope this helps.

The H block will not bolt into a 350 utility.

blocks were same bolt pattern and size from H thru 350. Timing cover and flywheel won't interchange, the rest will.

Worked on a '55 300U a few weeks ago that, according to casting codes, had a '43 block. Assumed this was an H motor. It also had a cover with two bolts on the boss that protrudes from the left side of block.Does any body know what boss and/or cover is? Welcome any & all input on above subjects!
