Thanks to all who replied to my last post about replacing the bushings in the upper bolster.

i got the "pivot shaft" out of the bolster today. yep, it took some persuading from a 2 lb. hammer and a 2x4.

Q: I don't have my manual in here with me right now to reference parts, but, doesn't the upper bushing come out the top, and the lower bushing come out the bottom? this makes sense while looking at it, but i had to ask. thanks, and take care all. bill

Bill, You're correct that the bottom bushing will be driven out from the top. I also drove the top bushing out from the top. This caused the seal that is positioned below the top bushing to come out as well. When I put the new top bushing in, I put it in from the top as well. The hard part was getting the new grease seal in. That had to be put in from the bottom. I forget now what I used to put the seal in with, but I do know that it made it a whole lot easier to put it in while I had the bolster off and laying down. HTH. Larry
