combine block in A????

Are the 113 combine and tractor blocks the same? I just got a combine block and was hoping I could put it in an early A, as it has a wicked crack on the front mount. It looked like the oil filter was a different set up. I have only seen a picture of the block on E-bay, so I hope I didn't just buy an extra boat anchor. Thanks, Bill

it will work i have done it. if i remember right all you will have to do is grind out some of the casting for the steering shaft to go through on the right side(as you are sitting on it)

The combine block has a semi-circle cut out where the starter was mounted from the front. This means you will have one less bolt to bolt the block to the bell housing. This doesn't really hurt anything as it is just cosmetic.
